Urban Beekeeping Class
If you want to learn more about beekeeping or start your own hives, Bee Wild has recently teamed up with the Rescue Bee Sanctuary in Lawrenceville to teach a series of urban beekeeping classes. The first Spring class will happen on Saturday, April 20, 2019, and is limited to 10 participants. Here’s a description of the class:
As our update indicates, beekeeping is a seasonal activity. There are different tasks in Spring, Autumn, and Winter, and our class focuses on the seasonality of the hobby, rather than the generic “beginner, intermediate, and advanced” approach.
Urban Beekeeping is designed to adapt to the individual needs of the class members, whether it’s acquiring beginning skills or helping more experienced students learn the finer points. The class will give you the basic skills to get started in beekeeping and focus on Spring activities the bees are just starting to produce.
