Notes from QueenBee:
My Pet Connection
With all the upset of living in a world that is rapidly changing while old structures crumble, it’s hard to keep emotionally balanced. Do you feel that, too? So, when the possibility of doing another HeartMath course came up, I jumped on this gift and became an Add Heart Facilitator. During the course, I relearned the Heart Lock-In Process and how to share it with others. The Heart Lock-In is a resource for balancing emotions, creating more physical wellness, making better decisions, connecting with everyone and everything, and reducing stress. I want to talk to you about how I re-established my heart connection in this class.
Re-Establishing My Heart Connection
It’s been a couple of years since I did the Heart Lock-In process daily. One of the reasons why I decided to go through the Add Heart Facilitator course was the estrangement I felt with some of the people in my world. As a healer, it’s really tough when you are periodically challenged with connecting. So, I decided that re-establishing my heart connection would have great benefit for me and the people I come in contact with.
My Pet Connection
Once you learn heart breathing, the next thing you do is focus on something that gives you a positive/heart-based emotion. As burned out as I’ve felt lately, it was hard to feel love, compassion, caring. But, then when the facilitator mentioned that you could focus on your gratitude for a family member, for a pet, I finally had the key that unlocked my heart again.
I am blessed with four rescue cats. I like to call them, “The Four Kitty Princes.” Their names are Jumpin’ Jack Flash, Angel, Ghost, and Christmas Kitty (Chris, for short). Each one of their Royal Highnesses showed up here to claim us at a time when we were going through a transition at home. Their energy, cuteness, cuddling, and company help us through many a challenging time.
So, when I did step 2 of the Heart Lock-In process, I focused on the joy, love, and gratitude that each one of the Kitty Princes has brought into my life. I clearly imagined each of the Kitty Princes, hanging out with us in his own unique way. As I did heart breathing, it was easy to smile. Then, my body relaxed, and the connection between my mind and my heart was re-established.
Re-Establishing Your Heart Connection
You might have an amazing spouse, wonderful kids or parents, spectacular siblings, or an awesome pet. In these times where there’s danger and possibilities, take a few moments every day to focus on your heart, breath into that space, and remember what you love and are grateful for in these relationships. This heart connection will bring you an untold wealth of resources in challenging times.
