Something Larger than Ourselves
Based on Article from TEDTalks
and the Huffington Post
At Bee Wild we encourage people to just be themselves. When I’m not the contributing blogger for the Latest Buzz, I’m a long time public speaker and workshop leader. In that spirit, I saw a post today from TEDTalks and the Huffington Post that made my spirit soar and decided to share the joy I experienced when I read this material. I hope that you are as touched and enriched as I was.
Eric Whitacre is a young composer, conductor, and musician who won a Grammy for his Light & Gold Album in 2012. By following his inspiration and thinking outside the box, he created a virtual choir from thousands of individual YouTube submissions. Their sound is breathtaking. So far, the virtual choir has recorded three videos that went viral to millions on YouTube. A Kickstarter project for the fourth video is in the works.
I could write a thousand words about this experience. Instead, I’ll just share the URL for the TEDWeekend blog post that Eric wrote. Please take the time to watch the video. The visuals are stunning, and the music is astoundingly beautiful.
As a long time blogger, Eric’s website gives so much information, and his style makes me feel like I know him personally. He also has several fan pages on Facebook. Here is his personal fan page:
I would like to thank my dear friend, Dr. David Markowitz, for putting this TEDWeekend post on my newsfeed on Facebook.
