Self-Experiment with QueenBee –
Lose Weight Detoxing
My health mentor has been helping me, as I continue to upgrade my wellness. As part of that path, I’ve been working toward staying on a strict allergy/yeast elimination diet. My goal is to move into this way of eating all of the time. Then, I can gradually see what other foods my body will accept. What I found as my body cleans out more is that my elimination system doesn’t move toxins out as fast as my cells eliminate them. So, I’m using a nifty tool that helps me lose weight detoxing.
The Self-Experiment for Lose Weight Detoxing
My mentor told me that when I was having detox reactions (headaches, joint pain, nausea, etc.), one of the things I can do is take a detox bath (instructions below). Taking the bath calms detox symptoms down, but I was wondering whether it really was helping me release toxins. I already knew that my skin is my largest organ of elimination. But, sometimes I perspire quite a bit in the bath; other times I don’t. So, I wanted to see whether I could improve my faith in this tool. Here’s what I did.
I weigh myself every few days before I eat breakfast. That helps me keep track of the amount of weight I lose due to the elimination diet. In addition, what I do is weigh myself before and after taking my detox bath. What I found is that I lose between 1 and 1 1/2 lbs. every time I do the detox bath! This makes sense because the bath is designed to help you sweat out toxins. But, I was thrilled to learn that not only does research say this, but it works for me, too!
If I take a detox bath every day, the weight loss appears permanent. It’s a huge win/win – more comfort and less weight! By the way, I do drink lightly sea-salted water when I’m in the bath. The water keeps me hydrated.
Detox Bath
Run a comfortably hot bath with 2 cups of Epsom Salt and 1/2 cup of Bentonite Clay in your bath water. Stir the Epsom Salt and Clay so that it distributes well. Soak in the bath until it cools down, about 40 minutes. Shower the clay off. By the way, you can find Bentonite Clay in your local health food store, where they shelve the ingredients for making facials.
What If You Can’t Do a Sit Bath?
If you can’t do a sit bath, you can always do a foot bath. If you don’t like food baths, you can create a detox shower. When I do a detox shower, I use Bee Wild’s Honey Body Products to support my body as it eliminates toxins. Before I turn the shower on, I use the Honey Body Glow to remove dead cells that block my skin’s natural ability to release toxins. Then, I take a hot shower. After I shower, I use the Honey Body Souffle to moisturize.
