I can remember going into the village on Saturdays with my Mom and Dad to buy bread from the baker, meat from the butcher, and cleaning supplies from the hardware store. As malls and super stores came into vogue, we lost the principle on which small businesses were founded – buy local, seasonal, organic, hand-crafted.
