User Poll: Pick Our Next Infused Honey

In my last post, I revealed how Bee Wild’s team works together to create products and information that support our customers and readers. There, I mentioned that one of the key values of our brand is sustainability. So, I want to share where our conversation went.

Diversity Creates Sustainability

As we continue to ask questions about creating more all-around sustainability, what becomes clear is the importance of diversity to sustainability. It’s like the advice you get from your financial planner, “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket.” You purchase stocks, real estate, currency, long-term, short-term, high-risk, medium-risk, and low-risk investments. You invest like this so if one type of investment loses money, another gains value.

The same is true for a business like ours offering a natural product. As we mentioned in our previous post, we’ve already experienced a year when the bees didn’t produce Sourwood Honey. If that was our only product, then we would have nothing to share that year. That is why we began developing our infused honeys and feel that expanding our infused honey product line is good for consumers and good for us.

What Is an Infused Honey?

We make infused honey by adding herbs, spices, fruit, or gourmet specialty flavorings to a lightly flavored honey (which, in addition to being the perfect base for infusing, is also more plentiful than Sourwood). These infused honeys can be anything from gourmet treats, such as our Devil’s Advocate and Lavender Infused Honeys, to medicinal infusions. An example of a medicinal honey would be cinnamon honey, which can aid in a weight loss program.
