Message from the Heart
from the Owner and Staff
of Bee Wild
We had a “family meeting” the other day and decided to let people who follow our blog and social network feeds know that everything we post means something to us. It’s our way of letting you know who we are, because our vision is to create a community of people who are just like us and want to connect. So, let’s talk about what we have in common.
We believe that we eventually will reach tens of thousands of people who believe in the sacredness of all life. As we posted in an earlier blog, one of our favorite books is Behaving as if the God in All Life Mattered by Machaelle Small Wright. We heartily recommend that you read Machaelle’s books. Reading these books certainly opened us up to a level of caring we never dreamed of.
We also know that we will reach people who are committed to treating their bodies well. These are the folks who want to clean up the food they eat, who will go out of their way to buy local, seasonal foods from local farmers. We are finding people every day who want to move and exercise while having fun. We are connecting with those who understand that quiet and rest are natural cycles that help our bodies heal and receive good. Every day we point to posts from BeWellBuzz, David Wolfe, Care2.com on our Twitter feed.
We feel we are a good match for foodies like us. We’ll drive miles out of our way to go to a restaurant that makes delicious farm-to-table/local, seasonal food. We get a kick out of talking to restaurant owners who can tell you where every item on our plate came from and how it was prepared (like the owner of Rosebud Atlanta). We also go out of our way to purchase quality ingredients for cooking at home — we taste and use honeys, olive oils, vinegars….We review restaurants and stores every Thursday on our blog.
We connect well with people who care about the environment. We share posts on Facebook from many eco-friendly organizations on our Fan Page. We talk about what we learn about the environment and how we apply this to our lives in our posts.
We believe in having choices about doctors, healing modalities, and alternatives. We personally know many of the movers and shakers in alternative healing and share these resources with our readers.
We are committed to freedom of choice and work on releasing judgments. We are not perfect, but we work on accepting, and not excluding, anyone or anything from our lives. We feel you are interested in this self-work, too.
Our intention is to share valuable information with you on our blog and social network newsfeeds. Our readers are like you — caring people who want to make a difference in the world and are unafraid to make money following their dreams. We hope that you enjoy this experience and return to us many, many times as a resource, and if you know people who are just like you, please send them to our blog, Fan Page, and Twitter feed to join us.
With gratitude and blessings,
QueenBee
